Handmade suede wrap bracelet cut from a bark tanned deerskin and dyed with natural indigo and cochineal - an insect native to Central America. Features vintage trade bead accents and a leather tab initialed JM. Over time the natural dyes will fade and bleed and the bracelet will mold to your wrist. Be mindful of crocking. Bark tanning is the historical method of converting an animal hide to leather by soaking the skin in a "bark soup" for several months. This bracelet is handmade by Dacine in Colorado. No machines or artificial materials are used in the construction of their products.
