Ege Bamyasi is Can’s fourth studio album originally recorded and released in in 1972. Pitchfork went on to name Ege Bamyasi #19 on it’s list of “Top 100 Albums of the 1970s”. Popular tracks include “Vitamin C” and “Spoon” and a number of the other tracks have been sampled and covered. Kanye West sampled “Sing Swan Song” on his song, “Drunk and Hot Girls” off the album, Graduation, and Beck covered “I’m So Green” for a Can tribute album. Ege Bamyasi, which means “Aegean Okra” in Turkish also features one of the band’s most iconic front cover images.
